read the article about franks car being driven without his knowledge,makes me want to puke.where do they get off.

ok this is probably sound stupid..but what is kerbed alloy?

my first M3 wheel was damaged by the dealership as well. I guess they dont have much experience dealing with 18 inch wheels??

i have been writing to every bmw email address i can find

i think alot of people write to the M Brand manager Thomas Salkowsky (thomas.salkowsky@bmwna.com) with their problems. not sure if it gets any results...i haven't heard from him.

I also just use the bmw contact form on www.bmwusa.com

After I posted, I realized what you meant. Im not the greatest with spelling but I think it's curbed.

The 18" wheels are a headache in that sense. I am aways worried about hitting a deep pothole or a curb. The E36 M3's wheels (17 inch) had a problem with that as well. My cousin ran over a small rock and bent his wheel! I can't imagine what the 19" wheels are like. I dont think I would go to 19" wheels on the M3...plus I dont like the flush look of the 19" wheels.

I had mine damaged like that at the dealership but they immediately admitted the mistake and offered to replace it. Doesn't your dealer do a walkaround before they check the car in? If not, you should insist that they do this and get a signed report. Then when you pick it up, do another walkaround to make sure it's as it was when it went in.

Btw, the issues with the white M3 have been worked out with the dealership. Them taking the car was a BIG mistake on their part but they did make it "right" in my mind, as much as feasible (since couldn't turn back time) anyway. To be honest, they were actually quite good about being concerned with my concerns, much more so than what I have experienced at some other dealerships. Just had to push them alittle bit to make them see the light.

So are you repairing or replacing your wheels? If you are replacing, check out the SSR GT3 at http://www.tirerack.com I think alot of M3 owners are putting these on their cars. They look pretty nice; personally I never change the wheels on my cars.

my car is a e46 imola red/black leather cabriolet.have to say that i think that imola is the best colour for me,i have seen the white m3 but it would not work in the u.k.it is currently pouring with rain,i think it is for sure a sunnier climate coloured car.

refrerence the blip on initial throttle acceleration,i have encountered this.it seems to me that you might have let the clutch out a little to early,dial in a few more revs.3000rpm i have found best for best launch and dsc switched off.

on a another note boxster perhaps one of the finest chassis money can buy,beautiful poise but not that quick.m3 will eat it for breakfast though.
