If you are happy with both then I would probably go with the silver for the ease of maintenance. The effort required to keep swirl marks off a red car (or any dark car for that matter) is next to impossible. If swirl marks bother you (they bother me alot!), then you will save yourself some headache and heartache. I can't see swirl marks on the AW/IR M3 even in sunlight with me bending down. I imagine it would be similar for the silver. The only thing about silver is that so many people are going with this color.
