Hi, I live in the bay area, and i've been trying to find a dealer that will sell(order) a M3 for MSRP. So far i have had no luck. I read on the CA DMV site that CA residents are prohibited from buying out of state. So, i am stuck with only dealers in CA, who are all selling way above MSRP.
If anyone knows of a dealer in CA, that is willing to take a order for a M3 for MSRP, could you please let me know? Thanks.

Thats not true. you can buy a car out of state. All M3's are CA certified.

Just FYI, I bought my M at Stevens Creek BMW. If you are willing to pay the premium, you can have a car right now.

Ditto. You can buy a car outside CA, and with M3s you don't have to worry about emission standards.

The ONLY place in CA I know that sells for MSRP is East Bay BMW but the waiting list i 1-2 years!

Do some homework, explore BMW dealers all over (and I mean that literally) and you will find dealers that will sell you at MSRP. Hopefully these CA dealers will eventually get the message, but as long as there are rich fools out there who are willing to pay a premium, i think we are just going to have to look outside CA.

i forgot some important news!!! Delon BMW in Salem OR has 3 M3s coming in soon for sale at MSRP. And the sales tax in OR is 0%! (Although if you are a CA resident it will be tricky, but possible, to get that sales tax rate)
