Just a note to Frank:
I have been wrestling with my color choice for my M3.
I originally was going with Imola Red, then I saw Franks pics of the Alpine white.
This weekend at the US Grand Prix, BMW had a display of all their "M" cars, the M3 coupe was Alpine white.
It was stunning...I decided right there it would be Alpine white.
I put my deposit down in April of this year and was told by my dealer I would be looking to order in January or February.
I CAN'T WAIT.

Great choice!

I love the Alpine White! actually, besides the Imola Red I had for a few months, all my BMW's have been white.

I think it's the motorsport color. Did you decide on the interior? I thought about gray interior for a sec before going with the IR. Glad I did. DOes make it stand out more though.

You know, I saw a Imola Red on speedvision and it was at a show with the spotlights shining on it...even though I've had the color, still took my breath away. Gave me second thoughts for about a second.

Congrats!

Hi Guys, just found this site. I'm in the same position, next on the list. My 1995 M3 is Cosmos black, and it really has aged well. When it's clean, people think it's a new car. I can't wait for more horses. I also like the Imola red, but am afraid it's a ticket magnet!

Hi guys.. when ordering my E46 M3 I had a run through the colours and was really not taken by any of the colours.. the Pheonix is a fairly nice colour, but still... in the end I discovered that Individual were now accepting orders, so I ordered my E46 M3 in Estoril Blue...

The car was delivered to my dealer yesterday, and I have to say, I was apprehensive about the colour, but having seen it in the flesh, its gorgoeus.. I cant believe they discontinued the colour!!! If anyone is interested, ill send pictures of the car when I collect it this friday, just drop me a mail xamo@hotmail.com and make the subject BMW so i dont delete it as junk!

Frank...
I was thinking about a grey interior.
If all door panels and console etc. are grey, then that is what I will go with.
If not, it will have to be black so everything matches.
I'm not sure why the seats are one color and everything else is black.
By the way, the pass the BMW (Montoya) put on the Ferrari (Schumacher) at the US GP was a thing of beauty.

Should be collecting my cabriolet in about 4 weeks. Went with Topaz Blue and a blue soft top. The carbon black looks really good! I had a tough time choosing between the colors.

Production on my M3 was completed on Sept 19. Should be in my hands in about two weeks (or so the dealer said, never believe them). Choosing the color was a pretty big issue too. I couldn't decide because the color i originally wanted was a deep navy blue which they didn't offer to me as a 2002. The incompetent dealer offered me the options and colors of the 2001's. So i picked Carbon Black as well. If i new i probably would have picked Topaz. We'll see when it comes.
But carbon Black is a bit better than Jet Black because Carbon doesn't show as much swirl marks as the Jet black being it's a mettalic color. (I hope)

Very nice color Matt! First time I am seeing that color on an E46 M3!

I really wish I had the SMGII as well.

Probably have to wait another couple of years to build my piggybank back up.

WOW!!! MattUK, I envy you! Estoril Blue, a classic M3 color, is totally awesome on the E46 M3. It’s unfortunately not available here in the US. I would have been my first choice, so I opted for Carbon Black.

I also wish we had the 19” wheel option and the cross-drilled rotors here in the US. They to, look awesome.

We can get them though the aftermarket guys but they’re over $2500 US just for the wheels – no tires! How much is the wheel option in the UK?

Great pictures!
