Guys, take it easy and don't take this personal. The NSX is a wonderful car, exotic for sure (Just need to be expensive to qualify for it, just by literally interpreting the word "exotic"). Acceleration numbers is not everything. It's the hole package. It's just a different car. Higher price doesn't necessarilly mean higher performance. Exotic means more like "few others will have it". And remember, If somebody has $90,000 to spend in a car (most likely not their daily driver), they won't care about $30,000 plus or minus.
Besides, The NSX was engineered in 1990 with only few updates since then. It was for sure ahead of its time (would had beaten any stock M3 in 1991, or maybe not, but that's not the point).
I love the M3, and that's the car I'm getting, but, as a car lover, I also don't blindfold myself and stop appreciating other cars attributes.
If you want a car to race, then your arguments are well funded. But if you just want to have a nice car and enjoy it, I would't critizice a NSX owner for spending almost a 100 grand if they have that kind of money.
When the new NSX comes out I'll bet you will be much better than the current version, but that won't automatically make it better that any M car. Just better that its own predecessor.

Happy motoring guys, and hope I didn't offend any hardcore BMW fans with my insolent opinions.

Guys, guys, girls....

Which car each individual picks is up to him or her... but lets not bring reliability into this... I am a car fanatic and if I love a car I dont care whether it keeps breaking dowm, its part of owning them. Its a sort of masochistic thing... When I picked my Lambo SE30 from Italy, it broke dowm round Nice (South France). Was I angry? No! Why? Because I expect this. My Aston is all day in the garage and never leaves... do I care? NO! Why? Because you know this will happen...

But what I do have to say it that Iīve had my M3 Cabrio since July and have 20.000miles on it and not one problem yet. Its brilliant.. I have better cars in my garage but it has to be one of the most fun to drive and value for money.... UNBEATABLE! Its almost out runs my Modena yet it cost almost half the price... Totally Brilliant! For all you guys and girls who have one... congrats, you bought one of the best value for moeny cars on the market!

**Who cares! When we die we canīt take them with us. So abuse them!**

Yes, they sure do.

Fact: The 1993 Supra Turbo is a 9 year old car that is no longer sold in the U.S. Fast car for sure, but not noticeably faster than the E46 M3, and if it ever wins, it would be by a doorlength, and no more. Modify it all you want to make it faster, but it will always be a 9 year old Toyota without a warranty of any kind.

Fact: Today's NSX requires $90K to get you nearly the same performance as the M3 that requires $50k. And requires you to give up everyday liveability (no back seat, small trunk) that the M3 does not. What do you get for your $90k? A rare Honda that looks nice, but has performance that is lacking relative to its peers, even peers that cost $40k less.

Fact: The IS300 will get crushed by an E46 M3 in every measurable performance category. The cars are in two different leagues and to compare the two is a joke.

Case closed.

Im with Naka. I like NSX'. Someone I kno has one and its a very kool looking car and is exotic regardless of speed. Speed is NOT everything, as is the case of the m3 cabrolet. Its not the fastest car on the planet but rather the complete package.
