2002 CB/Cinn every option except SMGII and Hardtop. Paid MSRP which if memory serves was around $60,700. That included the Gas Guzzler Tax. And, I only had to wait 1 day to pick it up. It had just arrived at the dealers lot the day I bought it. For me it was better then waiting since it was exactly as I would have ordered except for the PDC which I could live without. IP: Logged |

I just got my M3 cab. The only question I have is, am I too old for this kind of car? I am 48. I have had Porsches before and someone told me (the Porsche dealer actually) "the M3 is a kids car". Maybe I am still a kid. The SMGII is weird-but I guess I will get used to it especially in "auto mode". I paid $1500.oo under list for it. Most options, but I would have liked the nav, which it did not have. I hated only gettign the $1500 off but I was told that was the best he coul d even if I walked. Oh well. IP: Logged |

quote: The dealerhip I am working with is United BMW at Gwinnett Place Mall. Seem to be good folks. Some of the other dealerships in the area want OVER MSRP, which I thought was kinda lame. I'm scared to see what advalorem is on the car, but it was never too bad on my ML430, so I'm hoping the same for the M3. BTW, I live in Forsyth County... right next door to ya. IP: Logged |

quote: Well, I think a kid's car is a Mustang GT or a Mitsubishi Spyder, or a Honda Civic (lowered of course). Naturally, if you talk to the Porche guys they are gonna want to talk you into an under-powered Boxter S AND make you pay more for it. Amazing. But, hey: Right? IP: Logged |

Hi Guys - Like a few others out there, I was furtunate enough to be able to use military sales in Europe. My out the door price, including $2500 stateside delivery (includes import tax) was $54,900 ($5,100 below MSRP). 02 M3 Convertible My only regret is I won't be able to drive this monster on the autobahn. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hey, Speedi, I got my M3 from United, too. The dealer in my area(Knoxville, TN) sucks(asked $5000 over MSRP), so I had to travel down there. They seemed nice people. I paid MSRP with free floor mat, but the situation has changed, so I believe you can ask for more.

I paid list price for my car. However, all the options and taxes added up... I got every option for the 6-speed including factory alarm and 6-CD changer. Grand Total out the door $62,634.34 .. This does not include the extra $400 for the Valentine One. 2002 M3 Coupe LSB IP: Logged |

Speedi and Bobsm3, I live in Fulton. Paying $58595 before sales tax and lux tax. Close to $64k before I take it home. Phoenix Yellow cab, 6-spd, H-K, coldwx pack, zenons. Pretty basic package. Still very psyched. I guess North Atlanta will have three more M3s zorching around in a couple of months, eh? IP: Logged |

I'm glad all you military guys are able to take advantage of the military sales deal. Although, back when I was in, I don't think I would have been able to afford one of these, even at your prices! Ya'll be safe. Go Navy. IP: Logged |

quote: Any chance I can get some pictures of the IR paint against the IR leather? I suspect this is not too much red, since the interior is really two-tone. But until I get some pictures showing how the leather shows up against the paint, I doubt I'll be able to convince 'the boss' (my wife). Appreciate the offer, Rbob, but I'm not looking for a cab. Would be interested in knowing which dealer you bought from though.

Paid msrp which was just over $63,000 and that includes the cd changer the lease was for 36 months 12000 miles a year for 1050 a month total due at signing was 2600 which includes first month bank fee and the cd changer which was paid up front... Did i get a good deal??? I think it was a fair deal condidering all that have paid over msrp. IP: Logged |

704isport: Would be interested to know what kind of residual / money factor you were given (see my other topic: M3 leasing questions). $1050 tax-in payment on $63000 seems really, really low, and it can't be by magic. Even with 0% interest, I can't see the payment being this low. The only thing I can think of is that the residual is set very high -- that might do the trick. It would have to be much higher than what the online BMW lease calculator uses. IP: Logged |

Are you telling me I got a good deal? I hope so anyway how do I find that out? I think it's alot of money how much should it be? The m5 fully loaded I was quoted 1143 for 12000 36 months no money down 1800 due at signing. It was a very difficult choice so far I am having a ball with the SMG!!!It's like learning how to drive all over again.... quote: IP: Logged |

quote: How do you find that out? It's all in the paperwork you signed when you did the deal. Your purchase price, residual, money factor (essentially the interest rate) is all on there. You should check those numbers, but I would guess that the secret is the residual amount...that's one of the biggest factors affecting lease payment (much more so than interest rate). As for the online calculator on bmwusa.com, I'm now convinced something weird is going on. For a $53K M3 Coupe (36 months / 12K mileage / nothing down) it's quoting $950 + taxes. For a $62K M3 Cab (same lease terms) it's quoting $980 + tax !! Hmmm...unless I see the numbers its using for the calculations, that makes absolutely no sense. quote: Scott - Thanks a lot for the offer, very kind of you. Unfortunately I have already rotated to the D.C. area and can't take you up on it. However, I'll be in Europe TDY later in the year. If you are still there, and the offer still stands, we'll get together and I can experience 155 MPH. Thanks again. ------------------ IP: Logged |

PRC M3 Cab - Sounds like deja vu all over again; ordered my '01 in August '00 for March delivery; after several production delays I finally signed for the first military sales US spec in Germany on 15 July, one day before I PCS'd to DC. Good news was I ordered on the estimated price which was $500 under the final MSRP and had leather as standard and the military sales guys honored it. I'll keep an eye out for you on the beltway........ IP: Logged |

PRC M3 Cab: Pd $600 for shipping, picked up in Baltimore. Have paid NO taxes so far BUT supposedly will have to pay 3% VA tax since the car was not 6 months old when I received it here. So far I've been driving on my U'R tags.......will have to register/title at some point and will try to do the over 6 months old/used car thing then. I have a buddy in the same boat with an E320 in MD but MD tax is 6%. He hasn't registered/titled yet either. IP: Logged |

quote: Cool. I'll see ya, I'm sure. I'll be in Alpine White... shouldn't be too hard to find in the sea of SUVs in this area. That Yellow sounds cool... I just couldn't bring myself to do a "color" of any type. I almost talked myself into Gray/IR, but I just couldn't. I've seen another one in this area.. it was Topaz... saw it on North Point Parkway. That color sure does look good in person (with full sunlight). BTW, my car hit status code 155. I hope to see it, soon. - Speedi IP: Logged |
