A friend has told me that he copied the 325 chip and burnt it on a EPROM chip. Does anyone have the "code" or program for a 95 m3? Also has anyone done this? IP: Logged |

Sorry I don't have that information. But you really have to ask yourself wether or not it's worth taking that risk. Wouldn't you rather invest a few hundred dollars to get the real chip and that way you don't risk damaging your car? IP: Logged |

i have to agree w/ evan. i don't think i would mess around w/ the auto chip....too many things can go wrong.... like it might not start. spend a few dollars and get the real deal. IP: Logged |

Try the Jim C chips from turnermotorsports.com. Have heard great things about them. BTW, this board has no relationships with any vendor so it's all just for informational purposes. IP: Logged |

I may not work as M3's (most of 95 and up) have EWS. Coded driveawy protection. IF you copy a non-EWS chip to an EWS M3, it will not start, just crank. Also, you will probably be violating some copyright laws and ripping of the programmer as he/she spent a lot of time doing it, and receives no money for it--kinda like Napster! LOL Spend the cash and get a Jim C. chip from Eurosprort or Tuner Motor Sports! In my 95, before the turbo, I had the Euro HFM kit. It rocks! I hear just the chip helps a ton too. If you have a 95, DEFINATELY get the euro HFM kit! About 28+- hp gain. It freakin rocks hard. Tim IP: Logged |
