anyone know the top speed limit on a 96 m3?see i am trying to find out if my car has been software upgraded or not.Are there any other ways to find out?

Dereck, i can only help you if the speed limiter is equal to euro cars wich i think it is. An easy way to check if your M is limited or not is to hit the higway and check if your engine reaches the rev limiter in fifht gear. The speed limited cars do not reach the rev limiter in fifht gear.
P.S. My car has 5 speed gear box. I dont know if 6 speed happens the same.
