Hey guys. I was wondering which aftermarket chip upgrades are the best street-legal for the E36 3.2L M3. Thanks, IP: Logged |

Thanks for responding. Will the Jim C. chips pass CA smog? Does it have a CARB EO #? Also, does anyone here have them on an OBD-II equipped M3? Thanks, IP: Logged |

Don't worry about smog. It retains all OBD-II funtionality/compliance and the difference in emissions is negligible. Perhaps if your cats are somewhat plugged or worn out it could push you over the edge, but you'd probably get a CE before that would happen anyway. - Beau IP: Logged |

Thanks for replying Beau. Do you know Jim C's website or the chip? I forgot the URL. Thanks, IP: Logged |

I've got a Dinan stage 2 that I love. it was installed at the dealership so the ECU is still under warrenty. It is also OBDII. IP: Logged |
