I recently had encountered problems with engine startup on my 98M3, after a week of gararging, the M3 battery was completely dead, so as usual drils, I purchased a brand new battery to put into, and the car works like a charm. However, a week later, I left my car undriven over the weekend, and encountered the same problems again, and I know this time is not the battery since its brand new, anyone has any clue of what the problem might be?? I also heard BMW is known to relay problems.... Thanks 98M3/4 IP: Logged |

Does your car have alarm? Even if its not armed, the alarm is allways the number one suspect for discharging bateries. What about the radio? Do you have an aftermarket radio? Check the conections too. Its strange that only takes one weekend too "eat" all baterie charge... Eduardo. IP: Logged |

yeah I have both an aftermarket Alpine CD head unit, and a BMW aftermaket alarm system w/ keyless entry. Dont know really where the problem could be, but I am having the dealer to look at as well as some maintainance while its still under warrantee...thanks Arcpolo 98M3/4 IP: Logged |
