I'm looking to buy an E36 M3 in the next few months. I plan to drive it quite a bit so am looking for fairly low miles, most likely a 97-99. Are there any benefits to getting one year over the other, besides price? I may do a few mods but the car will remain mostly stock.

Thanks!!

the newer the year, the better..of course lower the miles, the better...also. But nonetherless, the 96-99 models all look the same with the exception of interiors, wheel, and lux packages.
