I ordered mine from Habberstad on Long Island and was given a 3 1/2 month wait. And the waiting is unbearable! quote: IP: Logged |

There is no way I would wait 2 years for any automobile. I went to the Freeport BMW dealer 2 weeks ago and the lady told me 9 months and you must pay MSRP. Plus you couldnt test drive the car. Whatever, when I am ready I will get mine in 1 day with no wait and Im not gonna pay MSRP. Thats nonsensical, everything is negotiable. Where there is a will there is a way. I might even use a buying service to find it for me. IP: Logged |

Well guys -- I have good news to share. The M3 order I placed on MLK day (Jan 2002) is now scheduled for a late November/early December 2002 production. That means an early January 2003 delivery. Not bad (12 month wait) since I was told that BMW will only ship 3,000 units of the M3 to the United States in 2003. Dealership: Westchester BMW, White Plains NY. IP: Logged |

Sorry to be bearing bad news, but I put an order in at Prestige BMW in NJ in January, 2002 and got my TiS M3 SMGII cab this May 10. I had asked at Greenwich BMW and was told to wait a year. They told me that the 2002 cabs were gone. None till the fall (they keep them in Germany). The M3 is perfect. Runs great, looks great - King of the Road in White Plains (in my mind, at least). Congratulations on your purchase! Maybe when I see an M3 Cab along Route 22, then it is you. When is the first scheduled maintenance? I heard that it is at 15K miles. Did you ask the dealership to throw in a 1200 mi and 7500 mile free oil change? IP: Logged |

There is no way that you can get this car less than MSRP. Since the demand outstrips supply, the dealership or buying service will not even entertain getting one unit for you. I am not insulting your idea...its just I've gone through what you're thinking of doing. I am getting my M3 this December 2002 after 12 months wait. (MSRP of course) IP: Logged |

quote: I am bringing it in at 1200 for a check up, but I don't know if they will toss in free oil. I probably will get it changed even if I have to pay for it, just to be on the safe side. I'm more likely to be driving on Mamaronek in White Plains. M3 cabs are still rare. IP: Logged |
