I live in northern jersey and want to know if anyone will recommend any dealers in northern jersey. Also I want to know what type of attitude I should go to the dealer with. I mean I love the feeling of getting a loaded car for cheaper then the msrp so any tips will help thx. Also I want to reserve the car in may and want a 03 model, I hope BMW is kind as MB was when I bought the c32 amg this year (below msrp and free stuff). Thx for the help.

The M3 is in high demand and it wasn't very long ago that some metro dealers were charging more than MSRP. Most sell for MSRP but will throw in floor mats, key chains, etc. Good luck getting a substantial discount.

Here's a dealer in Northern NJ you could try..Difeo BMW in Tenafly NJ. I bought my car through them and took delivery Dec 11th '01.

Back in Aug/Sep of last year when I was ready to buy the M3. I first went to the dealer where I bought my 2000 323i, they wanted a $10,000 non refundable deposit, so I said forget it. I called almost every dealer in NJ, and almost all wanted a $1000 deposit and promised delivery in 6 to 8 months. Difeo BMW was the only one who promised the car in 5 months. Now remember I never met the salesman personally, all this is taking place through the phone. I put down a $1000 on Sep 7th'01 hoping to get my car sometime the end of Jan or mid Feb'02. Guess what, they got an early allocation and my car was built first week of Nov'01 and arrived at Port Elizabeth, NJ Dec 7th.

The M3 is much easier to get now, especially on the East Coast. I would not be surprised if you find at least one M3 available at any of the dealers in NJ. Call as many as you can and find out if one is available. The bad thing about that is you may not get the right color and options that you want.

If you call Difeo, ask for Steve Patterson. Steve is the Internet Sales Manager. I bought my car through their Internet Sales Dept and he through in the floor mats, two lovely keys chains and a $100 gift certificate.

Good luck and sorry for the long message. Keep us posted on the progress.

Regards
Rocky

Hey guys again thanks for the input sorry for this late response. I went to the Paul Miller dealership in wayne nj they turned out to be great people. my sales man advised me to hold on to my money and wait till the
january of next year to get the car. They also said they can get me the car in four months so it works perfect for me. I saw a cb\cinn cab wow what a great car and the Z8 blew me away in person =). Thank you for recommending me to Diefo but it is a hour drive from where i live (montville).
P.S they are offering cars at msrp and 3-4 months so if anyone wants a 02 m3 i think this is the spot in jersey. Also everyone enjoy the ny autoshow this week.
