I am probably getting an '01 M3 soon but I have a few questions. What is the deal with the engines blowing? when I get it should i check what month it was made in, because I heard it was the ones made in november. and I am going to spend about $38k or around there...do you think i could find an '01 for that much this december? are they realiable?
If I didnt get the m3 i would get an evo 7 when they come, but I am pretty much over that because i realized how much i really want luxory. also, is there a navigation system option on the m3s? also, any word on a supercharger?
any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks.

I heard a lot of them were overreved. At least thats what most of the diagnostic logs have shown. Other problems were probably honest defects, and the engines were replaced. But yah, I would try my best to avoid the November 2001 production models.

I think high 30's low 40's is doable price range. I have a 2000 328Ci right now, and is very reliable (* knock on wood *). But I couldnt get my mind off the M3 so I put in an order for a 2003 M3 coupe, topaz blue, luxory package. Should be sweet.

There is a navigation option on the M3's. Most of the reviewers of this car gave it overall good rating, but a lot didnt like the nav system, so I didnt order it. Get one of the handheld ones, so you can take it hiking/biking as well

No supercharger on the guys. But I heard something about an 8 cylinder? Personally I'm fine the way the car is right now.
