jim conforti's cold air intake and chip. after long research, they seem to offer the best product. the intake looks stock which is a good thing to me(the cone filters are used by others). I have the ECIS intake with AA Gen 3 exhaust and I like the combo. I used to have the BB triflo, but it was too loud for my taste and I lost my top end. ------------------ IP: Logged |

did you do any software upgrade w/ your ecis intake? i should have gone w/ ecis; theirs and conforti is so similar, except the price. IP: Logged |

I am posting a reply to you just to try to help in your question with my diferent opinion. In our cars (race or street) we hate the cone filters (they dont produce any power but change your torque for worst) and besides they suck hot air wich in some cases has caused damage to the AFM. My advice is to try the SUPERSPRINT exhaust (if available) and the HFM and the complete airbox from the european cars. Ram air system to the airbox is also power proven. Thanks. Eduardo G. hey eduardo, when you say cone filters, are including "itg" foam cone filters. someone told me itg filters are the best. thanks for the input. IP: Logged |

Has anyone used a Roar intake in their cars. The website claims gains of 16 in torque and about 20 in horses? Their website is roarinc.com ------------------ IP: Logged |

Some people who race with M3 in portugal make their own ram air system. I have seen some similar in US like the ones from the brake duct or more radical like the ones in the headlight. I built one myself using the front piece wich ataches to the brake duct of an 325I E30, (part nr. 51.71.1.979.324) and place it behind the grille and atached some flexible aluminium tube right into the airbox. Looks very stock and helps your torque in fast gears. It is a low cost mod, you should try it, but be careful with heavy rain. Remember, my car has week suction compared to the ones with one throtlle body. Thanks. Eduardo G. IP: Logged |

When i say cone filters that includes all, even ITG. These filters work very bad in euro cars. Race teams use factory airbox with custom ram air. All of them. Eduardo. IP: Logged |

I took all my moldings off and gave it to a body shop and they painted it to match my car. I've had it painted for a year with no problems. IP: Logged |
